# Agent Templates

> Start a Custom Agent from a ready-made template: pick one from the catalog, review what it pre-fills, adapt it, and create it.

Agent Templates are ready-made [Custom Agents](/ai/custom-agents) for common IT jobs. A template pre-fills the agent form with a name, description, instructions, and triggers, and turns on the Primo connector. You review it, adapt it to your company, and create it like any other agent.

## Start from a template

<Steps>
  <Step title="Go to AI Agents > Agents">
    Click **Browse templates**. The **Templates** catalog opens.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Find a template">
    Search by name, or filter by **Category**. To build an agent without a template, click **Start from scratch**.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Open the template">
    Click a template card. The agent form opens, pre-filled.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Adapt it to your company">
    Read the instructions end to end and replace anything generic with your own people, thresholds, and policies. Then check the rest of the form:

    * **Triggers** — most templates run on a schedule at 09:00 (daily, every Monday, or on the 1st of the month). Change the time zone, day, or frequency to fit your team. **Custom Field Updater** has no trigger: add one before you create the agent.
    * **Knowledge** — pick the published knowledge base items the agent should follow.
    * **Connectors** — only the Primo connector is on. Turn on any other connector the job needs, and review the tool policies.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Click 'Create'">
    The agent is created enabled and runs on its next trigger. Changes you make don't affect the template.
  </Step>
</Steps>
