This guide highlights what to look at when testing FleetDM. FleetDM powers the device management part of Primo and runs on millions of devices at companies like Stripe, Dropbox, Atlassian, Toast, and Uber. Its interface differs from other MDMs, so use this guide to get set up. Good to know:
  • FleetDM powers the device management part of Primo. With your subscription, you get Fleet Premium, and your FleetDM instance is hosted, maintained, and updated for you.
  • A built-in synchronization between Primo and FleetDM supports onboarding, offboarding, Identity & Access Management, HR integration, and more, while you benefit from FleetDM for your devices.

Hosts

  • What it does: The “Hosts” tab provides an overview of all devices in your fleet, displaying essential details such as device status, certificates, and inventory.
  • How it helps IT admins: Quickly assess the health and compliance of devices, and act on issues before they spread.
  • Configuration tips: Customize the displayed columns to focus on the most relevant information for your organization. Filter by device type or status for easier management.

  • What it does: The “Controls” tab offers functionalities for managing updates, encryption, and scripting across devices.
