Device groups let you organize your fleet and apply different MDM profiles and controls to different sets of devices — for example, separate groups for your engineering team, a specific office, or a set of managed mobile devices.

Create a device group

  1. Go to MDM > Device Groups.
  2. Click New group.
  3. Name the group and optionally add a description.
  4. Configure the filters to define which devices are included.
  5. Click Save.

Filtering

Device groups are dynamic — devices are automatically included based on the filters you configure. You can filter by any attribute available in Primo, including:
  • Team
  • Office
  • Legal entity
  • Tags
  • Assignee
Filters can be combined to create precise targeting rules.

Assign a profile to a group

  1. Open the device group.
  2. Go to the Profile tab.
  3. Select the MDM profile to apply.
  4. Save the changes.
All devices in the group will receive the associated controls within a few minutes.
