Import your equipment

Enrolled devices appear in Equipment > Devices automatically and are assigned to their employee. Import equipment to track the devices that aren’t enrolled yet, and your accessories.

Open Primo AI

Open the assistant from any page of the cockpit.

Attach your inventory file

Attach a spreadsheet or CSV export of your inventory, for example from your previous tool.

Ask Primo AI to import it

For example: Import the devices in this file and assign each one to the employee in the email column.Primo AI creates each device or accessory and asks for your approval before it writes anything. Devices are assigned when the file gives the employee’s work email.

Check the result

Review the new items in Equipment > Devices and Equipment > Accessories.

You need the permission to create equipment. Primo AI imports items one by one, so review the list it reports before you confirm a large import.

Import devices

Go to Equipment > Devices and click Add a device

Select Import from CSV

Download the template from the import window if you need one.

Upload your file and match the columns

Confirm the import

The import runs in the background, and you’re notified when it’s done, with the reason for any row that wasn’t imported.

Column	Format
Work email	Assigns the device to the existing employee with this email. Without it, the device goes to stock
Device name	Defaults to the serial number when empty
Serial number	A device whose serial number already exists isn’t created again: only its purchase date, decommissioning date, and price are updated
Device type	`LAPTOP`, `DESKTOP`, `TABLET`, or `SMARTPHONE`
Platform	`MACOS`, `WINDOWS`, `LINUX`, `IOS`, `IPADOS`, `ANDROID`, or `CHROME_OS`. Inferred from the brand and type when empty
Brand, model, year, screen size, keyboard layout, notes	Optional details
Purchase date, decommissioning date	`YYYY-MM-DD` or `DD/MM/YYYY`
Purchase price	Optional

Each row needs at least a serial number, device name, model, or platform.

Import employees

Import employees from Settings > Employee Sync > Import from CSV when you don’t sync an HR system, or for people your HR system doesn’t cover. Download the template from the card. First name, Last name, and Work email are required; the other columns (personal email, phone, team, job, manager, work location, legal entity, start date, termination date) are optional.Imported employees aren’t synced: update their data, including start and termination dates, yourself. If you connect an HR system later, its first sync overwrites the fields it syncs.

Import accessories

Go to Equipment > Accessories and click Import from CSV

Upload your file

Required columns: name and type (for example MONITOR, KEYBOARD, MOUSE, or OTHER). Optional: brand, model, serial number, tags (comma-separated), description, and condition (NEW, GOOD, DAMAGED, or UNUSABLE).

Review the preview and click Apply import

Preview accessories import shows whether each row creates an accessory, updates an existing one, or is rejected. Existing accessories are matched by serial number, or by name, type, brand, and model.

After the import

Check that each device is assigned to the right employee.
Complete missing details from each item’s page.
Enroll the devices to manage them and keep their inventory up to date automatically.
